Kamal to launch an album

Following My heart, music album by acclaimed Mandolin player U Rajesh the brother of Mandolin maestro Mandolin U Shrinivas will be released by Ulaganayakan Kamal Haasan on 2 August in Chennai.

According to sources,the guest of honour for the event will be Grammy Award-winner, ghatam maestro Padma Shri Vikku Vinayakram. Following My Heart is an eclectic fusion album that Rajesh has composed blending the expose of Eastern culture with the beats of the West and he has recorded the songs in Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata. London and mixed and mastered in Los Angeles. it is truly an album with a global sound. The music album will be launched in the studio 6 degrees in Satyam cinemas.

Agni Natchathiram remake to have Prabhu-Karthik sons

Often we don’t see such scenarios happening in Tamil film industry. Manirathnam’s yesteryear mega-hit movie ‘Agni Natchathiram’ had Prabhu and Karthi in lead roles. Now, producer Ramesh, maker of movies like ‘Osthe’ has reportedly approached to reprise their fathers’ role in this remake that is directed by Dharani.




When approached the closer sources, it was mentioned that the film will go on floors in December as the makers want to start the shooting only after the release of Manirathnam’s ‘Kadal’ that marks the debut of Karthik’s son Gautham. The official confirmations will be made only after the producer has acquired the remake rights.
